Yes, translation plays a role in the elimination of Violence Against Women.
The global theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is “Orange the world: End violence against women now!”.
In line with this United Nations campaign, Radio 4EB, that is, the Brisbane community Radio which I am a part of, has launched the campaign "Orange the Airwaves!".
It is a series of community service announcements featuring the voices of men from diverse lingua-cultural backgrounds in order to raise awareness of violence against women.
I am very happy to have translated and voiced the Spanish version of the announcement.
